Original publisher's beige paper folding brochure with printed text and illustrations in dark brown ink. 4" x 8 1/4." A few small illustrations printed in brown ink, complete. Folded into thirds and printed on all sides. Brochure is very clean and intact except for light age toning throughout, a small horizontal band of offsetting at bottom edge of front panel, browning toward bottom edge of back panel, some glue and paper residue at top of back panel, and a horizontal fold line at center. A Very Good copy. This is an original program featuring a performance of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale taking place at the Repertory Theatre of Boston during the week of October 14, 1929, the 451st week of the theater's 14th season. The main text appears on the interior panels which includes the cast of characters for the play, the synopsis of the scenes, and other theater-related information such as the names of members on the Board of Trustees, Executive Staff, and the theater's Scale of Prices. There are a few advertisements which promote performances of the plays, Julius Caesar and Little Lord Fauntleroy, and businesses, products, and services such as San Hyja Co. and its San-Hi beverages, Lewandos (cleansers), John Hancock Life Insurance Company, and the Jordan Marsh Company. On the back are two illustrations of the Exit Plan of the Repertory Theatre which show birds' eye views of the seats (each numbered) and rows (marked by letters).
